Seattle's Kerry Park - One of the best viewpoints for viewing Mt. Rainier

 There's no denying that Seattle is a city of stunning natural beauty. And if you're looking for a front-row seat to the city's iconic skyline, look no further than Kerry Park. Nestled atop Queen Anne Hill, this small but mighty park offers a panoramic view that's nothing short of breathtaking.

On a clear day, you'll be rewarded with a postcard-perfect scene of Seattle's skyline. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the majestic Mount Rainier peeking through the clouds.

Kerry Park is on our must-go list when visiting Seattle, and, of course, for taking some picturesque photos of our dresses.

Timing Your Visit

While Kerry Park is stunning at any time of day, the best time for photography is undoubtedly during the golden hour, shortly before sunset. The warm, golden light casts a magical glow over the city, creating an unforgettable image. However, be warned: the park can get quite crowded during this time, so arrive early to secure a good spot.

Parking and Crowds

Street parking is available on Highland Drive and surrounding streets but can be competitive during peak hours. The park gets crowded on weekends and during golden hour, so consider visiting on a weekday or during off-peak hours to avoid the crowds.

If you like avoiding crowds, consider visiting early in the morning. The sunrise over the city is equally impressive, and you'll have the park mainly to yourself.

Our Photo Tips

Check the weather forecast. To actually see Mt. Rainier, you need good visibility. While most are looking for the ideal weather, the scenery still looks amazing when foggy, overcast, rainy, or snowy and is definitively worth a visit.

We found our favorite spot on the right side of the park, where you can have an unobstructed view with a clear shot of the city without the railing.
